Another year has flown by on the farm and once again it’s been a very busy but enjoyable season. It is such a thrill to read through the wonderful reviews left on trip advisor by our fantastic guests that have stayed with us over the last year and i can’t stress enough how much of a pleasure it is to welcome you all and to ensure everyone is having an enjoyable stay.

We are taking bookings for 2019, so if you have any dates in mind then by all means feel free to give me a call or send an email.

The farm is now in the depths of winter as i write this post and so far it’s been a pretty wet winter, this does now mean our young beef herd are now indoors enjoying some warm straw bedding and sweet tasty grass silage to keep them happy. The entire farm herd has also recently cleared it’s dreaded annual TB test which is always music to our ears when this happens! A TB breakdown is the ultimate nightmare for a cattle farm.

During the winter the pace of life does slow down a little bit and we focus on field jobs such as hedgecutting and fencing for the year ahead. Next year the cattle will be bigger when out in the fields grazing, so we must prepare for that.

We are also now in the process of finishing our 2 person accommodation which we plan on having ready for next season. More will be revealed on this in the new year.

A new style straw play arena is also being currently designed and we are really looking forward to developing this in the new year, we are very excited about this!

In my spare time in the evenings i am busy working off the excessive amounts of yummy pizza consumed after each pizza night throughout the season! This is proving harder than i first thought!
