Arrival
Mill Farm is located in a pretty little village called Poulshot.
It can be accessed by finding Mill Lane and following the land to the bottom or via Belle Vue Farm which is directly linked to Mill Farm with it’s own private track.
Please drive slowly and carefully on the track (maximum speed 10mph) and be considerate of neighbouring properties should you follow the Mill Lane route on your arrival and departure from the site. Be mindful that walkers with dogs and wild animals, specifically wild deer can be present too.
The track is suitable for all vehicles but should you have a low ground clearance car then please drive slowly to avoid any bumps.
At the end of Mill Lane is Mill Farm and there is a level car park available to park in. The car park for Belle Vue Farm Shire is also level and is a golden stone gravel car park, this car park is found by directly going to Belle Vue Farm and following the private track.
On arrival you will be greeted by either Farmer Chris or Farmer George and will be given a guided tour of the site and to your chosen accommodation. Depending on the weather we do advise having appropriate footwear and clothing. Wheelbarrows are provided to move your luggage to the accommodation except the Treehouse and Mill Farm House.
We do encourage our guests to arrive before dark to get a full gauge of the site and the surroundings. However should you be running late then please give us a call to ensure someone is available to check you in.
The Farm
Mill Farm Glamping and Belle Vue Farm Shire are surrounded by acres of grassland and hedgerows with wildlife habitats. We do encourage our guests to explore and enjoy the countryside. Please ensure you wear the correct footwear should you venture out for an adventure. Footpaths are available to use and we strongly recommend these are followed.
Treehouse Access
The treehouse is accessible down a small private track from the Mill Farm car park next to our friendly goats. You can park your car directly next to the treehouse. A spiral staircase is the entrance to this accommodation so we do recommend to take your time using these steps. The main living area, master bedroom and bathroom is all one level. There is no TV but WiFi is available inside.
Glamping Lodges Access
The Luxury Canvas Lodges including Squirrel Lodge are located in our beautiful meadow adjacent to the Mill Farm car park. You can access these by walking to each lodge and using wheelbarrows for moving luggage. We do recommend having the right footwear if we are in early Spring or Autumn months. The luxury canvas lodges are all on one floor making it easy for wheelchairs etc. A small flight of steps (2 steps) elevates you onto the lodge verandas. Assistance can be provided where needed.
Shire Houses
Located at Belle Vue Farm, The Shire Houses can be found adjacent to the main Shire car park which is signposted. Once your car is parked Farmer George will be at hand to welcome you and to check you in. Wheelbarrows are also available to move luggage if needed. The Shire Houses are wheelchair friendly and are all on one level for ease of access, closer access to The Shire Houses can be granted via a direct gravel track for quicker access for guests with wheelchairs.
